The problem
Torque judged by feel varies with every operator; a 1mm lever offset shifts the reading; undersized torque means loose mating and oversized torque damages sockets - found only at customer complaints.
Capability
Torque tester for plugs, sockets and appliance couplers. Socket mounting plate rotates about a horizontal axis located 8mm behind the socket engagement face, intersecting the centre line of contacts parallel to that face; applied torque is continuously adjustable with a maximum of at least 0.25Nm. Aluminium base with column, graduated beam and sliding weight; interchangeable mounting plates cover common domestic and international plug patterns.
